Hi all, and thanks for the possibility to share ours experience! I'm thinking to buy a w18 unit because it not very expensive but I would like to use it only with wifi (the sim card have a cost!).
My question concern the using of the app if the w18 unit is connected only in wifi mode to my router. The app is able to receive the push notification in case of alarm even if the smartphone is connected in 4G or WIFI? Can I arm/disarm, do the remote settings and see the sensor status (eg. temperature sensor)?
Another question concern the pairing of the sensor. I would like to buy a non-Kerui infrared waterproof barrier (I understood the the Kerui barrier are not waterproof, is it true?). How I can pair the barrier and the unit? It is really so simple like I saw on youtube? Just to switch on the barrier and create a alarm (cut off the ir with my hand) while the w18 unit is waiting a trigger and it learn the new sensor automatically?
Thanks for yours kind help Roll

Can I arm/disarm, do the remote settings and see the sensor status (eg. temperature sensor)? As long as your wifi router at home is connected to the internet you can control the alarm over 4G and receive notifications. Basically Kerui has a server (somewhere in the world) your alarm connects to that server and your app connects to that server too, so when you do something on the app it goes through the server and too your alarm and visa versa. You can buy any 433Mhz unit and bind it to your unit. (no idea about the waterproofness of the kerui unit). Yes what you saw on youtube is correct. The basic principle is click on 'add detector' under one of the zone on the app and then trigger the 433Mhz device you want to add (being careful not to trigger any other device in the house eg PIR sensors or they will get added instead). Thanks for yours kind help You are most welcome, if you do get the W18 are you able to check in here from time to time to add any help for other W18 users coz I don't think we have got any one yet here who has a W18.
