Hi there,
Not sure if this has been brought up before.
I’ve had the W1 for over 1 year and other than apps crashing, I’ve managed to get used to it.
Recently, I noticed that the unit shows off-line while I’m checking from another network other than my home’s wifi and I cannot control the system at all.
I have no problems when I’m home as it can be controlled via LAN.
I also noticed that the W1 flashes green/white which tells me that there’s something wrong with the connection but I have no idea what it could be. It is obviously connected to the router as I can talk to the W1 via LAN. I suspect the W1 is struggling to connect to the internet...
I have tried resetting to factory settings but this does not reset the wifi settings though. I have also removed the device from my account and added again multiple times from android and Apple devices
It would be fantastic if someone could give me a hand.

That is a good amount of information to help people with your question ;c)
My understanding (only an education guess) is that the alarm units get programmed with your account when you set it up. When they have an internet connection they login and stay connected to your kerui account in china (most likely). When open the app outside of your network to access your alarm your app connects with your account in china where your account is and all your devices are logged in too. The changes you make on your app goes through the kerui server and pushes back to your alarm.
With that said it looks like W1 is not being able to contact the Kerui servers over the internet and therefore you cannot see or control it remotely. The colour of the light on W1 is also an indication that the unit has internet problems.
Internet problems does not necessarily mean that the box isn't connected to the internet it just means that it cannot reach the kerui servers whether that is because of no internet or an kerui account fault.
1. Do you use range extenders or anything else in your home network other than 1 modem that everything connects to? If no skip this one. If yes, I would try if possible to connect W1 over wifi to the main modem that internet comes from rather than to an extender to see if that makes a difference. 2. Account issues on W1. If W1 has the wrong password etc it won't be able to login to the Kerui servers, when you factory reset do you know for sure that you the W1 has cleared out the login details eg so you are entering them again or has it remembered them in which case you are going to have the same problem (I am asking I haven't had to reset mine so I don't know how far a factory reset actually goes in clearing information). 3. Can you take W1 to someone elses how and factory reset and try setting up and connecting to their wifi and see if that works?
