Hello!
Is there any way to make the K16 to “beep” for 30 sec or so when someone enters the door (and trigger the door sensor)?
I have only found this setting when arming.

It's pretty basic. I am just setting up a home workshop in my garage for customers to come to me. Because I am working from home I am in an out of the garage and house. My biggest concern at the moment is being alerted that someone is coming up the driveway and then secondly that they have entered the garage. I bought 433mhz wireless beam sensors which can connect to the unit and beep, but a few problems come with this; 1. I need to be near the alarm unit to hear it beep. 2. Different sounds for different areas. The straight forward expensive ridgid solution is to get commercial laser beam door sensors. Another option is to get $6 IR beam sensor pair of ebay, run some cat6 cable down the driveway for the power and signal wires and connect it to a $2 arduino lilypad (off ebay) and a small speaker and control the sound output. My ideal design would be a wireless speaker that I can carry with me or clip my belt.

I have got further with this.
I have bought the IR beam sensors and tested them on the bench. I have also bought a wireless doorbell kit for $10AUD I took the cover off the outdoor button and the battery is small 12v battery (same as the IR sensor supply).
So all I need to do is take a wire from trigger output on the IR beam sensor and run it to the microswitch leg in the doorbell button so the IR beam will trigger the doorbell.
The biggest cost will be the plastic plumbing pipe (around $25AUD) to run the CAT6 cable in down the driveway.
I will have myself a wireless speaker (doorbell speaker) alert that I can carry around with me to different parts of the house to when people come up my driveway and fell a little more secure about leaving the garage door open sometimes.
