What is your remote control range?
Just received my W1 unit with the latest white/grey four button remote. But all the remote only has a range of less than 1meter from the W1.

About 5m with a door/wall in between.

Yeah, for me I would say even more like up to 10 meters with a number of walls in between.
Have you checked the batteries of the remote or tried another remote?

I don't know if this helps or not.. but I recently discovered that by placing the Alarm panel at a higher location, the signal becomes better. Previously, when I installed it at a lower location (up stairs), I was not able to disarm the triggered alarm (had to run to the stairs and point to the Alarm Panel for the system to shut up, haha) However, when the alarm is not triggered, the remote works fine at the exact same location. Later on, I re-positioned the Alarm Panel at a higher location, then problem solved.

I don't know if this helps or not.. but I recently discovered that by placing the Alarm panel at a higher location, the signal becomes better. Along the ground there is alot more items that absorb the RF signal, whereas up higher you'll probably find the RF signal bounces around abit before being absorbed into the physical objects. Also you have changed the angle of the receivers aerial by moving it and I believe all RF signals travels at a set angle you might have better aligned the receiving units aerial with the angle of the signal coming out of the keypad.
