As you've probably noticed a new update was release on the Play store in Mar 2017 which is to do with optimizing the push function.
There was some comments over on the blog about it causing problems with W1 going missing from the app. I noticed also the developer has updated the comments on the message of the play store to tell people that it may or may not help and update at our own choice.
I have noticed myself in the last couple of weeks W1 has been going offline on the box itself (eg instead of being a solid green light, it's been blinking with cyan light). At first I thought it was the app, but then I realised the update was for the app talking to W1 box. W1 flashing cyan is a problem between W1 and the server so it can't be related.
Another thing that I noticed as well as brian reynolds who commented on play store was the notifications come through late when W1 was triggered. This is a new issue for me too which hasn't happened in the 12months I have owned W1.

Hi Russel and from here To let you know 6 months ago I had found some bugs in the W1 and emailed through Play store the programmer, no answer at all, I tried it and a second time, the same result. Then I emailed the Company in China and I was having emails with the Export Director of Kerui Ms Asia, I told her about the problem with the app and he told me that he had passed my email to the app developer, and very soon he will contact me, SAME RESULT,1 month later I email Mrs Asia again I told her that Kerui is a good company but WITH ZERO SUPPORT, he answered me that Kerui deals only with Companies and not with end users, and the best is to ask the dealer I bought the system, I told her again about the developer NEVER ANSWERED and he told me the same that "I will call him and he will soon contact you" THE SAME RESULT NO CONTACT NO EMAIL NOTHIND. I tell you this don't expect any answer from them we are alone... Concering the D025 and the batteries we was talking some days ago through the blog, I took out all 15 D025 I have, I measured all( how much energy they consume and I found out that 1 of them, the one I wanted battery every 15 days had problem. The user manual and the specs are wrong, D025 when they sent signal consume from 18,5 to 21,5mA each, in stand by they consume from 6 to 7 microamps ( 0.007mA ) the one with the problem was consuming 0,200 microamps. I had tried in 2 of them and I had out outsise a 9V rechargable battery it is 1 month now and they are working perfect. Concering the last update for the amp I have 3 devices 1 Xiaomi Smartphone running android 6.0 it is working OK One tablet Kitkat 4.4 cannot find nothing no devices although they are under the same Wifi, the same problem has and my Samsung S3 i9300 with custom rom running Nougat. So I had stayed in 1.4 Version I am too Electronic Computer Tech

Hey Leo,
Good work on your persistence at following them up. I one thing I hate about anything Chinese is they have a really bad attitude towards support.
Shaming on Play store is probably the best bet. I did see the developer updated his comments in the message, which indicates he is listening. If Kerui is outsourcing the app development (most likely) and putting bad comments on play store is only going to put pressure on the contractor as Kerui will get annoyed and look for a different developer.
I was thinking about testing the amps on closed and open circuit on the door sensors this week after your comments as I have some doors in my house that have sensors open for most of the day. So you are saying they go into standby whether the door is left open or closed and use the same amps? I will put your results under a sticky on the door sensor area for people to see.
I only have android v5 on an S4. Maybe you could open a separate post for the issue with the kitkat and see if anyone picks up on it.

No you didn't understand I will speak only about D025 I own. When the door is open when to door is close no consuption at all. They only transmit ONLY when you open the door, that why you see the red led going on.When the door is open or close no led no power consumption.

I have published your current draw readings under the door sensor section for others to reference.

As you've probably noticed a new update was release on the Play store in Mar 2017 which is to do with optimizing the push function . In regards to the iOS app, I discovered two problems: a) the push notification seems to work only very randomly. I have 1 iPad and 2 iPhones connected and while the iPad gets them all, the iPhones nearly never. A theory is that it depends on the way you arm the unit, but haven't digged deeper yet. b) sometimes the app closes automatically right after starting it and I need to open it again. Nothing super concerning, but strange though. Anyone interested experiencing similar issues or has even noted some workarounds?

In regards to the iOS app Anyone interested experiencing similar issues or has even noted some workarounds? Can't help you on that one. I am not sure whether the developer is iOS or Android weighted. Make sure you leave feedback on the app store about your problem so they can see it. Did the iOS receive the push update recently?, if you go to the app store and click on W1 you should see recent changes notes. I must say now a month or two has passed with the update on android there is considerable improvement in how quickly you can connect to W1 via the app, previously you had to wait around 10 seconds and then if you clicked to quickly it would time out and you have to wait again, now it pretty much goes straight in when open the app and click on W1.

The last iOS update is quite a while ago. Just can hope that they are improving the app quality for iOS soon. As I am not planning to connect my W1 to a landline, I am quite dependent on the push messages to see what's going on at home...

Most likely the following is not surprising, but I reached out to the vendor on Ebay and asked about the not working push notifications. First I got a link to a video showing the installation of the w1, then after asking again I got the reply "check the app".
I guess that is good as it can get...
Btw: I also posted two reviews in the apple app store a while ago, but nothing happened so far.

the latest version is a shame for android. Now I only know which zone is triggered without it's name so i need to remember the zones numbers! and the smart developer forgot that we have several sensors in each zone, now we can't know which sensor triggered the alarm... i've sent several emails to kerui and to the developer but none was answered.

Actually the iPhone version is even worst. The notification shows fictitious zones, like 33 and 78. at least those correspond to real zones, but still not helpful.
Also the app triggered a fictitious alarm yesterday for zone 0 every time I opened the app. Howthere the siren and system wasn't really recognizintg that and also the log didn't show anything.
But as an improvement, the time to logon and load the application has been improved.

I don't believe so! But post your feedback in den App store and given them a review. Seems to be the only communication channel back to the developer.

So today was version 2.0 of the iOS app released. Will see if that fixes some of the new bugs. However, even through 2.0, I don't expect a major version change - sadly...
