I have owned 4 Kerui smart sockets which were paired to my W1 alarm. All are long since in the bin. Stupid/limiting app programming is the reason why. Things like you can only have 8 smart sockets. When you set the days/times and press save it saves a completely random time. Skip forward 18 months of me discovering home-assistant.io and my house is completely different home. Kerui products are majorly limiting, but Home Assistant is free opensource smart home platform which supports just about any Internet of Things device and more (kerui products do not live up to this benchmark). I now have cheap (sonoff) smart power sockets all around the house inside and out turning on and off lights based on things like when the sunsets or dusk. Seriously don't waste your money on Kerui smart stuff. If you don't mind abit of code then Homeassistant is the best there is. If coding is not for you, don't fret coz you can buy things like TP-link (many other mainstream brands) smart sockets that come with really good apps for the same price you pay for Kerui's stuff.

I cannot even open the smart control tab in my W1 iOS app, for more than 18 months I‘d say. Since that, it is pointless to use them as they don‘t even work semi-smart at all...

I am not using Kerui alarm anymore, however I have switched to using home-assistant.io/ smart home software. With a Sonoff RF bridge I have been able to use all my Kerui sensors and power points.

If one wants to use smart sockets do they have to be Kerui ones or will any smart socket work?
