Bigger problem with the S71 is that this thing removes the earth grounding. You can plug in a grounded plug, but the input to the S71 is not grounded. Only plastic pin instead of grounding pin. Wonder why it's done like that. This is dangerous. Not recommended.

I agree with the last poster's comments, this arrangement is unsafe and in fact contravenes type approval (for this country). There are also no safety shutters on the pin sockets themselves. If you have children I implore you to buy a decent smart socket as kids love poking things in holes. Your power won't trip (immediately) should you get an earth fault and may result in over heating or electric shock depending on the circumstances. A lot of these plugs have fake CE/BSI marks on them and have never been tested to EU or UK standards. I see (if I am interpreting the picture correctly) the initial wires are reversed on this plug albeit they are going to the right pins (i.e. you have blue as live and neutral as brown). I don't really understand what your initial issue was but scratching thin tracks to break a circuit on mains voltage is a recipe for disaster. I don't know what you mean by 'positive' ? are you referring to the low voltage circuit for the relay? It looks like wires are soldered straight on to the tracks as opposed to through holes, which isn't ideal and especially the live one which hasn't even got all of the cores connected. Aside what you have done, the socket itself has the potential to kill, please throw it away and look for another solution. Sorry to be negative but i have attended more than one incident involving dangerous sockets similar to this
