Hello, can someone please give me feedback for the Dual Outdoor Sensor Kerui DG85? What about false alarms? Is the sensor reliable working? I will try to protect the object from the outside.

Hello, can someone please give me feedback for the Dual Outdoor Sensor Kerui DG85? What about false alarms? Is the sensor reliable working? I will try to protect the object from the outside. Hi Frank, I have seen a couple of PIR sensors outside the cheap one's will trigger off at very easily and have short range. The more expensive ones you can definitely see the price difference but you still get the occasional false alarm. Are you looking to bind it to a Kerui alarm? Did you want the alarm to sound if it is triggered? Just asking because if it was me I would be very cautious about the accuracy of any PIR in an outdoor situation from causing false alarms. Instead I would be hooking it up as a chime or to a light. Make sure you have a mounting point where nothing is going to be flapping around near the sensor eg trees, bushes, tarpaulin covers. Can you use any of the other sensors to protect your item? What about a magnetic door switch.. I chose to use a IR beam sensor across my driveway hooked up to a doorbell post rather than a PIR to alert my of people entering my property which I have found as good. In summary I would say that this sensor is probably less likely to go off than the 'non pet immune sensors' and therefore you'll have less false alarms.
